Forest Young is a design futurist, critic, and practitioner whose work bridges academic inquiry, cultural critique, and global practice. He is currently Global Design & AI Resident at Wolff Olins, where he critically examines emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, through a design-led lens. 

Young is a Senior Critic in Graphic Design at the Yale School of Art, a distinguished MFA alumnus and Mark Whistler Prize recipient, and has previously served as an MFA Thesis Critic at RISD.

For over two decades, he has maintained Young Studio, a private design atelier producing printed matter, bespoke typefaces, exhibitions, and digital work for leading artists and cultural institutions. A founding advisor to MillerKnoll’s Diversity in Design collaborative and former board member of AIGA New York, Young’s work has been exhibited internationally and recognized with honors, including the Cannes Lions Gold Design Lion and the ADC Black Cube.
